Coaches

Coaches with Under-18 competitors

If you are a coach with a competitor under 18 years old, you MUST have a current WWCC card. If you have any questions regarding this, contact juniors@cfa.vic.gov.au

Please list your Coaches/Manager below. If you have under-18 year old competitors, the WWCC field MUST be completed.

Under 18 competitors

Members under the age of 16 years are NOT permitted to compete in the senior events.

All competitors MUST be registered CFA members. CFA member numbers will be collected on a second form to be sent to you in early 2026. Competitors MUST be registered CFA members by 6 March 2026.

If you have young people who are not yet members their parent/guardian should start the membership application NOW using this link  Apply to volunteer | CFA (Country Fire Authority).

Consent from parents/guardians will be gathered for ALL under 18 year old competitors to participate in State Championships. To facilitate this, parent/guardian email addresses will be collected (mobile numbers are helpful) for registering under 18 year olds. This information will be collected on the next form to be sent to you in early 2026.

PLEASE NOTE - Under 18 year old competitors WILL NOT be able to participate if they:

  • are NOT registered CFA members

  • DO NOT have parent consent

Event 1: Low Down Pump & Ladder. 4 competitors
Event 2: Wet Hose & Ladde. 4 competitors
Event 3: Tanker Hose Reel & Ladder. 4 competitors
Event 4: Tanker - Priming Pumping & Ladder. 4 competitors
Event 5: Hydrant & Tanker. 4 competitors
Event 6: Tanker - Drawing Water from Tank. 4 competitors


Travel

To assist with planning, CFA have requested that Brigades provide an indication of potential travel claims for the 2026 State Championships. The information you provide below is not binding but will assist CFA in planning for expected travel reimbursement.

Each Brigade will still be required to submit a travel claim for each Championship with the reimbursement form to be distributed prior to the State Championships.

To be eligible for reimbursement of costs for bus travel, pre-approval must be obtained by sending a quote for hire/travel through to championships@cfa.vic.gov.au by Sunday 8 March 2026.

All invoices and receipts are required to be submitted to championships@cfa.vic.gov.au within four weeks of the event date for reimbursements. Claims received after this time, or that do not have pre-approval, will not be reimbursed.


Torchlight Procession

Brigades competing at the Rural Senior Championship are again invited to take part in the Torchlight Procession in 2026 on Saturday 28th March commencing at 2030 hrs. Roll call at 2000 hrs.

Squad size. The minimum number of marchers is 6 members and a Commander and the maximum number is 15 members plus a Commander. Approval can be gained from CFA to march with less than 6 members. Any teams with more than the permitted maximum or less than the permitted minimum will have points deducted from their scores.

Dress. Preferred dress for Brigades is CFA Dress Uniform. If Brigades are unable to outfit their squad in Dress Uniforms CFA Workwear, a Brigade specific uniform with CFA baseball cap or CFA summer dress uniform can be worn. Brigades competing in the rural events can wear CFA uniform, CFA Workwear, a brigade specific uniform or competition gear. All members of the squad must wear the same apparel.

LED Torches. LED torches will again be supplied by CFA for the Torchlight Procession. These will need to be picked up alongside Brigade name plates at the Championships. The information below will be used to package torches for each team. Please ensure that this is accurate.

Please provide the rank and name of the Brigade member leading the Brigade in the Torchlight Procession below this information is used for the announcer as the Brigade marches past the official seating area.


Make-up

Brigade member to be included on the Make-up Personnel roster for Saturday 28th March.
